Today is my birthday, I am 42 today I can't even believe it. So many exciting things planned today so be sure to follow along on stories throughout the day. I have to say I have learned some important lessons over the year and today I am getting a little personal and funny and sharing some with you.

Here we go, in no particular order, the top 20 important life lessons I’ve learned:

  1. Eat the cake, ice cream, and donuts. But seriously, life is too short!

  2. Pay off your credit cards monthly, and use your airline miles strategically.

  3. Quality over quantity in EVERYTHING: friendships, food, clothes, etc.

  4. Ask questions and learn

  5. Create healthy habits- we are creature of habits, so form healthy ones like making your bed daily or a good workout routine

  6. Say no. It’s ok to decline social plans, business opportunities, etc. It will lead to more yes’s!

  7. Always always always look for the silver lining in any situation. There will always be a positive, but it’s up to you to find it!

  8. Be kind to everybody, even strangers.

  9. Accomplish regular closet clean outs to declutter. I always donate a large portion!

  10. Put time and effort into your friends that put time and effort into your friendships. Those are far and few between but those are the ones that matter!

  11. Drink ½ of your bodyweight in water each day. Also enjoy a La Croix Curate daily to add to your water intake.

  12. Do one thing everyday that makes you happy.

  13. Create a good skincare routine early on

  14. Embrace failure, don’t give up, and move forward.

  15. Invest in experiences instead of things.

  16. You are the average of the 5 people you spend the most time with! Eliminate the negative people in your life.

  17. Travel and experience the world- with a bestie, or your soul mate. You’ll open your eyes in a whole new way!

  18. Call your parents, siblings, and visit your grandparents! Ask them stories, talk to them, and enjoy their company.

  19. Start a hobby that you’re passionate about. Don’t hestitate, just start. Mine was my blog, and I’m forever grateful I gave it a go!

  20. Time is money so spend it wisely.

Thank you so much for stopping by to read this post and thank you so much for the birthday wishes! I appreciate all of the love and am thankful for everyone who made me feel extra special today!
