Schedule Workouts: This is the first and most important thing to do. Finding time to workout instead of relaxing on the couch can be hard, once you schedule the time in your calendar to work out it makes you realize that it’s not THAT hard to find the time. And that time is definitely worth making. It's best to start with 1 or 2 sessions the first week to ease your way into it and get back into a routine.
Start Small: Start by either going for morning walks to grab coffee or evening walks before or after dinner. Anything to get the blood flowing and some fresh air is a great start. This will trigger your brain to want to get exercising and in shape.
Get New Gear: There’s nothing more inspiring than showing off your new workout outfit at the gym. Sometimes you need that extra self-esteem boost to get you back in the gym. I’m a sucker for cute workout clothes to push me to get my butt back in a workout routine!! You will be amazed how great and confident you feel in those new leggings and how it will motivate you to actually get there.
Get Yourself A Pass: Instead of jumping right into things and getting a monthly or yearly pass … start with a 10 or 20 class pass. This will allow you to use it as often as you like so that you can see if the pass will be put to use or if you should be going elsewhere.
Girls Night: Once you start feeling better about your body and seeing results you slowly become addicted to working out. It becomes easier to find time and you can even gain some new work out friends to visit with while doing something healthy. A great place to start is by turning girls wine night into girls yoga night.
Get your family involved: Working out doe snot always mean hitting the gym. Involve the prople you love to spend time with and do something fun together like go for a hike or bike ride. This will endure that you are in the fitness mind frame even on the weekend when you are spending time with your family, A bonus is that it wil set a great example for your kids for them to see you happy and healthy.
