It is a great feeling when you walk out of the gym and feel great about accomplishing something. Workout is complete and your day is off on the right track. Even though the workout is important equally as important is your post workout routine. As you all know I am on a new fitness journey so I am in the gym 5-6 days a week. It is so important what I put in my body post workout to get me through the rest of the day without feeling Blah! Today I am sharing what keeps me going with these post workout essentials.
DRY SHAMPOO: I usually workout 5-6 days a week and washing/styling my hair that many times is just not possible (and it’s also not good for your hair to wash it that much). Most days I have to go straight from the gym to either running errands, a coffee meeting, or lunch date. Dry Shampoo is a lifesaver, after washing my face off I spray this in my hair and run my fingers through it and VOILA I am ready for whatever the day throws at me.
PROTEIN! It’s so important to fuel your body right after a work out. What kind of protein I use to fuel really depends on what I am doing directly after but usually I grab a protein bar as I am usually running around doing errands and need something quick and easy.
COLD PRESSED JUICE: This is something I look forward to after my workout. I have recently started drinking this and I am addicted. I usually grab a cold pressed juice as I am doing errands. It keeps me satisfied as it has a bit of sweetness and it’s loaded with tons of vitamins and antioxidants.
WATER: This seems like a no brainer but I usually don’t drink that much water throughput my workout so I make a point of drinking a lot post workout.
I must say my post workout essentials are pretty simple but these essentials really keep me feeling great all day long post workout.
