During December and January, my skin definitely tends to be drier and duller. Each season it is so important to update your skincare routine as each season brings new elements your skin need different things to keep it looking fresh and bright. My winter skincare routine definitely involves more products to add moisture to my skin. This is my first winter in the Okanagan and I definitely feel like it is more dry and cold here and I have found the best products to help my skin get through the winter.
When the humidity drops, so does the moisture level in your skin. Dry skin not only dulls your complexion, it’s more prone to wrinkles! That’s why I’m adding product that will keep my skin hydrated all winter long.
I have been using the Elemis line for about 9 months now and am so impressed at how my skin feels and looks on a daily basis, check out my full skincare routine here. Here are a few products that I have incorporated into my winter skincare.
A highly concentrated blend of deeply nourishing and hydrating plant-based superfoods that feed the skin with anti-oxidants and omegas for a healthy, radiant glow. This exactly what my skin needs during the winter months. I use this 3-4 times a week as part of my nighttime routine.
This is an anti aging and anti wrinke mask and it is not a clay mask it is moisturizing one. It firms, smooths and nourishes my dry winter skin. I apply this 2 times a week.
I usually do not use a exfoliator but during the winter I really feel like my skin needs it and this one is so gentle on the skin it always leaves my skin feeling revitalized and looking bright and fresh. I incorporate this into my mourning routine 2-3 times a week.
You really don’t need much to have flawless skin even in the winter months by adding a few key products you will notice a big difference in the way your skin looks and feels.
