I am sure you have seen Tula Skincare all over your IG feed as there are literally hundreds of influencers that promote it. I have been using Tula Skincare Products for over a year now and I am ready to spill the tea on what I really think of it and why. This is a fully transparent brutally honest review of Tula Skincare.

A little background on Tula before I jump into my review. The skincare brand is known for using probiotics which we all know does wonders for your health when ingested. The idea that Tula was incorporating probiotics into their products for topical use was innovative. According to research, topical probiotics can strengthen the barrier of your skin, i.e. younger-looking skin which we all want. Personally, I love that the company incorporates natural ingredients into their products, like yogurt extract, chicory root extract, turmeric, white tea, blueberry extract, and vitamins such as A, C, and E.

There are so many exaggerated claims out there, when you hear the word “instantly”, especially when it comes to skincare it is very hard to believe. I think it’s pretty standard to expect to have to wait at least 30-60 days to see results when starting a new skincare routine. However, I really did see a difference right away when it came to the Tula Purifying Face Cleanser. The post-wash dryness that I typically get with face wash just wasn’t there. I also felt a noticeable freshness that I hadn’t ever felt with a face wash before. It was only after about 3 days I noticed my skin looked so much more brighter and refreshed.
Probiotics For Your Skin
Infusing skincare with probiotics is a relatively new phenomenon. Probiotics can strengthen the barrier of your skin, i.e. giving you younger-looking skin. Isn't that what we are looking for?
Probiotic extracts are a powerful, natural ingredient that help balance your skin micro biome, They’re great for helping your skin get back to its happy state—consider them the ultimate skin superfood. I have never used a product with probiotics and notice a difference right away with how hydrated my skin looked after using the products for such a short time.
Natural Ingredients
I’m all about “natural ingredient” when it comes to my food, so when it comes to skincare I think its super important to have natural ingredients. Probably my favourite part about Tula skincare is the fact that the ingredients are naturally-sourced and easy to understand. I can feel good about what I’m putting on my skin now, Tula is also 100% cruelty free, which is absolutely required in any beauty product of mine.
Every product has its pros and cons, and since this is a honest skincare review even Tula Skincare has some cons. Although I absolutely love everything about the Tula skincare line, here are some factors to consider before purchasing.
Limited In Store Availability
If you are use to picking up your skincare at your grocery store or beauty shop this will be change fore you, From my knowledge Tula is only available at Ulta as of right now so you will most likely have to have it shipped, so make sure you order a little before you run out so you don't disrupt your skincare routine. In my opinion If you are organized and order before you run out you may even find a good sale, they are always offering some sort of discount as well as they offer pre made sets which gives you a bit of a deal bundle when purchasing.
No Customization Options
Tula doesn’t offer product variations for oilier vs drier skin. I have know people who use the products with carious of skin types and have all liked the way it works on their skin so maybe there is something behind the science of the Tula products that makes them great for all skin types. They do have quite a few products other than their daily face care collection, so just read up on the various products they offer and I am sure you will find one you love. They also offer a skin quiz on their website that will help you determine what products would be best.
It is a splurge
It wouldn’t honest Tula skincare review if I didn’t mention the price. The price isn’t outrageous — there are definitely skincare products that retail for more. The Purifying Cleanser runs at $30/bottle just to give you a idea on the cost. If you are use to using drugstore products this will seem like a splurge but trust me after you start using it you will see that it is worth it. You really can't go wrong with a good skincare product that you see results with. Skincare is something I always do my research on and am willing to spurge on if I know it works and I can see results.
